The app
Anonymous usage counter
SiliconPlay uses TelemetryDeck as an anonymous usage counter. The counter does not include personal data, and it does not include advertising identifiers.
License activation
When a license is activated, the app sends a license key and a hashed machine fingerprint to license.siliconplay.app. We run that server ourselves with Keygen CE. The hash lets the server recognize the Mac without receiving the raw hardware details. We use it to check that the key matches that Mac.
Donations
PayPal handles donations. We receive the payer’s email address from PayPal so we can send the license key. We send that message with Gmail.
This website and Google AdSense
siliconplay.app may use Google AdSense to show advertisements. AdSense uses cookies, including advertising cookies, to serve ads, to limit how often an ad is shown, and to measure them. Where it is allowed, Google and its partners may also use those cookies to show ads based on visits to this site and other sites.
Where the law requires consent before cookies are stored or read, including in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland, cookies used for personalized advertising are used only with your consent. You can refuse that consent, or withdraw it later. Refusing does not stop you from using the site or the app. Ads that are not personalized may still use cookies that are limited to fraud prevention, frequency capping, and aggregated measurement.
You can review or turn off Google ad personalization at Google Ads Settings. Google describes how it uses information from sites that use its services at How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services. You can also remove cookies in your browser.
Why this information is used
- The license key and the hashed fingerprint are used to provide the license you asked for.
- The payer email is used to send that license key.
- AdSense cookies are used to show and measure ads, and for personalized ads only with consent where the law requires it.
- The usage counter is anonymous. It is not personal data, and it does not include advertising identifiers.
How long it is kept
The payer email and the hashed fingerprint are kept only as long as they are needed to deliver and honor the license, and as long as accounting rules require a record of the donation. You can ask us to delete them when they are no longer needed for those purposes. AdSense cookies follow Google’s retention and your browser settings.
Who else receives it
- TelemetryDeck, for the anonymous usage counter.
- PayPal, to process a donation.
- Google, for the Gmail message that carries the license key, and for AdSense on this website.
license.siliconplay.app is a server we operate. PayPal, Google, and TelemetryDeck may process information outside Brazil. We do not sell personal data.
Your rights under the LGPD and the GDPR
You can ask us to:
- Confirm whether we process personal data about you, and to access it.
- Correct data that is incomplete, inaccurate, or out of date.
- Delete your data, or anonymize, block, or delete data that is unnecessary, excessive, or processed unlawfully.
- Restrict processing, or object to it.
- Receive a copy of the data you provided, in a portable form, where the law gives you that right.
- Know which public and private bodies we share data with.
- Withdraw consent, where we rely on consent. Withdrawal does not affect processing that was already lawful.
- Ask for a review of a decision made only by automated means, where that decision affects your interests.
Email siliconplay.app@gmail.com to use these rights. We may ask for enough information to confirm it is you. You can also lodge a complaint with the Brazilian national data protection authority (ANPD), or with a supervisory authority where you live. In the EU or EEA, that is your local data protection authority.
